While "scholarship" is often thought to be a solitary pursuit, and the "scholar" is thought of as a loner, it is more accurate to think of the community of scholars. Rarely do we come up with something wholly on our own. Feedback and sharing of ideas are invaluable to the scholarly process. I have to give special credit to Alfred Nordmann, with whom I have done most of my editing work, and G.H. von Wright, from whom I learned much about editing. I also want to thank the younger generation of Wittgenstein scholars, from whom I have always benefited. Here are pictures of some of my favorite folks:
